Puyallup, WA - Tessa Marlene Wyknenko (Treffry), of Granger, Washington, passed away peacefully on October 15th, 2025 at the age of 76.

Tessa was married to the love of her life, Michael, for 53 wonderful years until his passing in 2020. Together they built a life filled with love, laughter and family -- a bond that continues to inspire everyone who knew them.

Tessa's greatest joy was spending time with her family. Whether tending to her garden, working on her latest quilt, attending sporting events, Treffry family campouts or the Theatre with her daughter and grandchildren, she cherished every moment together. She will be remembered for her warm spirit, generous heart and unwavering love for those around her.

When Tessa and Michael first moved to Granger from Othello, Tessa leaned over in the car as they drove through town and asked Michael, "This is just a temporary job, right?" But when they arrived, the football team's coaching staff and players greeted them with open arms, helping them unpack and move into their new place. That warm welcome changed everything, and what was supposed to be temporary became home for over 45 years. Tessa dedicated more than 25 years of her life to the Granger School District where she worked as a paraprofessional. She was deeply committed to helping students learn and grow, and she made a lasting impact on countless young lives through her kindness, patience and encouragement.

Tessa's family and friends will forever hold her in their hearts, grateful for the love, laughter and memories she shared with them.

Tessa is survived by her three children, Debby (Armando), grandchildren Alex, Kayla, Monica, JJ; Daniel (Liz), grandchildren Colin, Paige, and Darren (Kylie), grandchildren Nora, Graci and Quincy. Along with her siblings Jim (Sue); Sonny (Bonnie); Judy and Nancy.
