Yakima, Wa - It is with deepest sadness that we announce the passing of Sherry Ann Philp, age 76 of Yakima Washington on May 04, 2025. Sherry was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She was born on May 15, 1948 in Yakima Washington. She was survived by her brothers: Cliff Ferguson, Bud Ferguson, cousin Dona Hatch who was like a sister to her, sisters in-law: Dana Ferguson (Bud), Erica Ferguson (Ken), children: Kay Philp, Doug Philp, Shawn Philp, Dwayne Philp Jr., Mike Philp, Oakley Philp, 12 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. As well, she had a special place in her heart for her nieces: Tina Ferguson, Chris Ferguson, Kathy Ferguson, and daughters in-law: Heather Philp (Doug), Mari Philp (Shawn), Jennifer Philp (Dwayne), Irma Philp (Mike) and Udalis Philp (Oakley). Sherry was preceded in death by her father Oakley Ferguson, mother Opal Ferguson, bother Ken Ferguson, husband Dwayne Philp Sr. and son Jeff Philp. She was known for being an amazing cook with the kindest of hearts, always willing to host a meal for family and friends. Having an abundance of love in their hearts, and such a large family, Sherry and Dwayne's doors were always open to their children, grandchildren, family and friends. The date for her Celebration of Life has yet to be set and will be announced at a later time.
