Sheena Shantelle Swan Obituary

Yakima, Washington - Sheena Shantelle Swan, 39, left her family and friends unexpectedly on September 21st, 2025, at her home in Selah, Washington. Sheena was born in Yakima, Washington on November 12th, 1985, and was the light of her parent's life, Daniel Volland and Michelle Tucker. She graduated from Selah High School in 2004 and in 2010 she obtained her RN degree from Yakima Valley Community College. Shortly thereafter she went back to school and in 2014 she graduated with her Bachelors Degrees in Nursing Science. Over her nursing career she worked at Dr. Cox's office in Selah, Memorial Hospital, Davita and most recently Mountainview Home Health.

The greatest joy of Sheena's life was having her two boys, Wyatt and Waylon. She loved being a mother and embraced everything that came with motherhood. She was the glue that held her family together. The love of her life was Barry Swan. After reconnecting years later, they finally got married in August of 2024. Sheena fell in love with Barry's daughter Ember and loved her new role as girl mom. Sheena's favorite place was the mountains with her family and friends, jeeping and mushroom hunting. She gave every bit of her time to her boys, her husband, her family and her patients.

Sheena leaves behind her husband Barry, children Wyatt, Waylon and Ember, father Dan (Claudia) Volland, mother Michelle (Joe) Tucker, step-brother Gunnar Tucker, grandmother Mary Ann Volland, aunt Brooke (Randy) Turner, uncle Doug Volland, uncle Mike Singleton, in-laws Connie and Michael M Swan, cousins Tanner and Conner Turner, Halee Ethier and Justin Volland, niece Sarah Campos and nephew Seth Stiles, cousin Matt Singleton, brother in-law Andy Swan (Tiffany Russel), her close friends Nikki Peralta and Jen Davis and numerous extended family and friends. Sheena was preceded in death by her grandfather Harold Volland, grandparents Don and Lori Singleton, sister in-law Jeanette Ennis, ex-husband Anthony Ennis, stepsister Loni Nall and her older sister, as well as great grandparents.

A special thanks to all the Selah Hoops and Viking families who've supported us through this hard time.
