Sandra Whittum-Damm Obituary

Richland, WA - Sandra (Sandy) Lee Whittum-Damm, 76 of Toppenish, Washington, passed away Tuesday, June 10, 2025, at Kadlec Regional Medical Center.


Sandy was born August 16, 1948, in Toppenish to Warren and Cora (Arens) Whittum. She attended and graduated from local schools in Toppenish. She married Tommy D. Damm in Toppenish, WA and later again in Las Vegas, NV. Together, they shared over 50 wonderful years in Toppenish.


Sandy dedicated her career to the Department of Social and Health Services, where she found deep joy in helping others. She especially cherished her work with the Farm Workers office. Sandy retired in 2019, proudly completing 50 years of service.


Family was central to Sandy's life. She is survived by her loving husband Tommy Damm; her sister Mary A. (Whittum) Stage of Spanaway, WA; and her brother Raymond J. (and Robin) Whittum of Yakima, WA. She also leaves behind nephews Xavier (and Alishka) Stage, Shawn (and Thishanna) Stage, Wren Whittum, and Reon Whittum; niece Ylva (and Jennifer) Reysack; and four great nephews and a great niece.


Sandy will be remembered for her dedication to others, her vibrant heart, and her deep love for her family.


A celebration of life will be held from 1:00 PM to 3:00PM on September 6, 2025 at Friendship Baptist Church, 1801 Paterson Rd, Prosser, WA.
