Zillah, WA - It is with profound sadness that the Ford family announces the unexpected passing of Robert Paul Ford on the morning of May 16, 2025. Rob, as he was affectionately known, was born on July 25, 1975, in Yakima, Washington, to Kandi and Vern Ford. His vibrant spirit and outgoing nature touched the lives of everyone he encountered.
Rob's adventurous spirit led him to become a skilled bull rider in his younger years, a testament to his fearless heart. It was on the dance floor, however, that he found the love of his life, Deana. The couple married on May 17, 2003, and together they built a beautiful life filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories.
A dedicated educator, Rob was passionate about teaching and devoted his career to helping children become successful members of society. His impact extended far beyond the classroom; he became a beloved figure in the community, known for his kindness and unwavering support for others. Rob's ability to connect with people made him a cherished friend to many, and he embraced the role of mentor with open arms.
Above all, Rob will be remembered as a loving husband, father, and grandfather. His devotion to Deana and their sons—Chase Pidgeon, John Ford, and Aiden Ford—was immeasurable. He took immense joy in being a doting grandfather to his grandsons, Waylon and Layne, and his granddaughter, affectionately known as Porkchop (Alayna). Rob's family was his pride and joy, and he cherished every moment spent with them.
Rob leaves behind a legacy of love that will continue to resonate in the hearts of those who knew him. He is survived by his beloved wife, Deana Ford; his sons, Chase, John, and Aiden; daughters-in-law, Maddie Jones and Madison Walker; grandsons, Waylon and Layne; granddaughter, Alayna; loving parents, Kandi and Vance Nielson, Vern and Debra Ford; brother Chris and Julie Ford; sister Nicole and Crissy Nielson and a host of friends and extended family who will forever hold him in their hearts.
In honor of Rob's life and the joy he brought to so many, the family is planning a celebration of life July 19th 12:00 at the Zillah Civic Center, where all are invited to come together to share stories, laughter, and memories of a remarkable man who will be deeply missed.
Rob Ford's memory will live on through the love he shared and the countless lives he touched. His spirit will forever remain a guiding light in the hearts of those who loved him.
