Rebecca Lee Jackson (Becky) Obituary

Tieton, Washington - Rebecca Lee Jackson, lovingly known as Becky, was born on July 11, 1955, to Bill and Yvonne Jackson in Arlington, WA. On February 17, 2026, she left her life earth-side to be with the lord.

Becky moved to Yakima in 1981, with her three children. Becky obtained her teaching degree from YVC and built a life dedicated to teaching pre-school special education to migrant families. Becky volunteered her time as a CASA Guardian Ad Litem and lived a life rooted in hard work, family, and selfless generosity. After leaving education, Becky worked at Memorial Hospital and retired in 2025 after 20+ years of dedicated service. Even as retirement approached, she never really slowed down. Becky worked tirelessly, gave freely, and carried a steady strength throughout her life.

Becky enjoyed working in her yard, visiting the library, cheering on the Seahawks, and spent her spare time submerged in a book. She spent summers traveling to the beaches of the Oregon coast and Hawaii where she would walk for miles collecting seashells. Becky never turned away a stray dog and her home was a refuge, whether you had two legs or four. If you needed a place to land, Becky always had her guest bedroom ready.

Her greatest joy was her family. She was the proud mother of three children: Sheba (James) Owens of Sterling, Virginia; Junior "Jay" Jackson of Elizabethtown, North Carolina; and TulaRosa Jackson (Dylan) of Richland, Washington. She adored her grandchildren -- Nevada (Jacob), Sadie, Allison (Spencer), Michael, Kaitlyn (Latham), Emma, Ian, and Levi -- and treasured her great-grandchildren, Gabriel, Kennedy, Zamora, Theo, Lane, and another on the way.

She is survived by her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren; siblings Kathy, Denise, Shane, Brett, Sheilah, and Bill; her niece and favorite lunch companion, Kacey; and many others who were blended into her life.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Yvonne, and her niece Emily.

Becky leaves behind a legacy of love, resilience, hospitality, faith and fierce love. She taught those around her how to work hard, show up, and keep going. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

A Celebration of Life is planned for July 2026, at the Oregon Coast. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in Becky's name to Yakima Valley Pet Rescue.
