Michael Maurice Boseck, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away in his home in Yakima on April 29, 2025, at the age of 80.

Born and raised in Yakima, Michael lived a full and joyful life grounded in curiosity, kindness, and quiet strength. After serving proudly in the United States Air Force, he earned his degree from Central Washington University and went on to a meaningful career with the Yakima School District.

Michael was a steady and calming presence — the kind of person who made others feel at ease just by being there. He had a lifelong love of aviation and was a licensed pilot. He also loved camping with his family, soaking in time around the fire, and enjoying the simple pleasure of being together outdoors. A loyal Seahawks fan, he cheered on his team every season with the same calm optimism he brought to everything in life.

He was easygoing to the core. If you asked how he was doing, the answer was always the same: "I'm fine." And he meant it — he lived with quiet contentment and never needed much to be happy.

Michael is survived by his wife of 52 years, Marian Boseck; his son Brandon Boseck and daughter-in-law Amanda; his beloved grandchildren, Brooklyn and Nathan; and his sisters, Peggy Fischer and Pat Smith. He was preceded in death by his parents, Maurice and Loraine Boseck, and his brother, Timothy Boseck.

Though he was never one to seek attention, Michael's steady presence, quiet humor, and genuine kindness left a lasting impression on those who knew him. He will be remembered with love, respect, and deep appreciation.

A private family ceremony will be held in his honor.
