Prosser, Washington - Leann Kemp Chandler enter eternity embrace by her Lord and Savior Jesus the Christ the evening of September 17, 2025, after brief illness just after her 61st birthday. Leann was born September 15th, 1964, the second child of James and Erma Kemp She grew up in the same home that mother still resides in Cowiche Washington. Attended schools in Cowiche. She graduated from Highland High School in 1983. Attended Yakima Valley College studying criminal justice. Leann graduated from Central Washington University with K- 12 Education degree with Special Education Certification. She additionally earned a Principal Certification at Heritage University. A long time Special Education Teacher serving the Yakima School District, Richland School District and the last 8 years in the Wapato School District. Leann was also deeply involved in the Washington Education Association serving as a devoted advocate for students across the state and our nation.

Leann loved being outdoors. I enjoyed fishing, boating and hunting. Being on the water was her peaceful place. She was an avid sports fan and high school athlete letter winner in multiple varsity sports.

She loved nothing more than watching cooking shows and collecting recipes for that one elusive dish.

Leann is preceded in death by her father James (Jim) Kemp and survived by her mother Erma (Ruby) Kemp, sister Randa Admire, daughter Michelle Ruby and niece Amber Admire, granddaughters Rhylee and Addison and husband Christopher Chandler. As well of the countless friends, acquaintances and associates. For Leann there was no such thing as a stranger.
