Lawrence Carl Julius Obituary

Yakima, Washington - Lawrence Carl Julius, lovingly known as Larry, was born on April 27, 1956 to Carl and Yvonne Julius in their hometown of Yakima, Washington.

Larry dedicated 33 years of service to Gray & Osborne Civil Engineering, where he built a remarkable career and lasting friendships. He was known as a legend in his field, particularly for his invaluable work as the city engineer for Morton, Quincy, Port of Quincy, Ephrata, Coulee City, and other communities he proudly served. He was integral to the development of industries and data centers in the Quincy area.

Beyond his professional achievements, Larry was a man whose table was always full -- of loved ones, friends, and even strangers who never stayed strangers for long. To Larry, everyone had a story worth hearing. He offered comfort, laughter, and genuine care to all who crossed his path. Those fortunate enough to know him will remember his welcoming spirit, generous heart, and the warmth that seemed to follow him everywhere.

Larry is survived by his beloved sisters Linda Scott of Yakima and Laurie Julius-Carver and brother- in-law Jim Carver of Anacortes; and his adored nieces and nephew and their partners: Emily Deaver and Mike Voss, Kate Gutierrez and Don Ward and Jacob and Rachel Carver.

He is also survived by his great-nieces and great-nephews: Devin and Nancy Schlotman, Samantha and Tim McRoberts, Brittany Schlotman and Troy Fryatt, Kyle Sisk and Kaylin Warner, and Miss Piper Voss.

His great-grand-nieces and nephews -- Sylas and Lucian Fryatt, Scarlette and Murphy McRoberts, Missy Araujo, Sophia Guillen, and Titus Schlotman -- all who carry forward his legacy of kindness and laughter.

In addition, Larry is also survived by his Aunt Dorothy Grabenstein, Aunt Clarice Hagle and Aunt Gilberta Leonhard. Also cousins Laverne, Mark, Jeff, Teresa, Bert, Susan, Judy, Kathy, Jim and Julie.

Larry will be deeply missed by the many friends he considered family, whose lives were made brighter by his generosity and love. Larry is proceeded to Heaven by his parents, Carl and Yvonne Julius, Johnny Raymond Gutierrez, Uncle Bob Hagle, Uncle Bob Grabenstein, Uncle George and Jerry Leonhard as well as Chris Cook Sr.

Memorial contributions may be made to North Star Cancer Institute of Yakima, in lieu of flowers.

"I was there when you came into this world little brother, and I am here as you are leaving it." Linda.
