March 4, 1947-June 8, 2025

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Karen Lee Ridley, who departed this life peacefully on June 8, 2025, at the age of 78. Karen was a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Karen had a deep love for animals and dedicated much of her time volunteering at the local Humane Society, where she cared for countless animals in need and advocated for their well-being. Her compassion extended to every living creature, and her selfless service left a lasting impact on the community.

Karen is survived by her loving children: Gary Lee Lorenzen Jr., Kristen Shelly Van Kleeck, and Stephanie Vasquez, each of whom carry forward her legacy of kindness, determination, and strong family values. She was preceded in death by her beloved son, Jeffery Scott Lorenzen, who passed away on December 31, 2012. The loss of Jeffery was a sorrow she carried with quiet strength, and they are now reunited in eternal peace.

A private service will be held in accordance with her wishes. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made to the Humane Society in her honor.
