Yakima, WA - Jim Elkey, 85, passed away on February 6, 2025, at Fieldstone Memory Care, in Yakima, Washington. Jim was born on June 11, 1939, in Green Bay, Wisconsin, where he had many fond memories.
The family moved to Seattle, Washington, in the late '40s. they lived in the Wallingford area, where he graduated from Lincoln High School in 1957.
Jim and his family moved to Yakima, Washington in 1972. He worked for Sears, before he started a construction company. Jim retired in the early 2000's.
Jim and Carolyn had wonderful memories at their float house, in British Columbia. Salmon fishing off his boat for many summers was the highlight of his year.
He is survived by his wife, Carolyn, three children, Bob (Vickie) Bill (Nora), and Diane (Chris). He is also survived by his grandchildren, Tyler (Emilee) Gracyn, Rogan, and Adelei, and a great-granddaughter, Arabelle.
