Delbert Martin Deck (known as Marty), was born in Ellensburg, WA June 17th, 1957. He lived his first seven years in Aztec, New Mexico, then in Kittitas, Ellensburg, Yakima, Terrace Heights, and Selah. He graduated from East Valley Schools and attended YVC and Perry Tech.

He was preceded in death by his father, Delbert Deck, his uncle and namesake Martin L. Sheeley, and grandparents Charles C. Sheeley and grandmother Jessie E. Wikstrom.

He is survived by his mother, Connie C. Carpenter, and brother John E. Deck (Constance), and their son Matthew. Half-brother Gary Deck of Farmington, New Mexico, half-brother Mike Carpenter, and half-sister Sue Harmon and their families of Yakima, and a host of friends and loved ones.

Marty was a warm and colorful gent who loved God with fervor and joy. Not always right, but always well intentioned. Finding forgiveness in his friend, Jesus Christ.

Memorial gathering will be August 9th at the Selah Civic Center, 216 N. 1st Street in Selah at 2:30 (south-west entrance).
